Mai : The Psychic Girl has long been rumoured for conversion to a movie. Currently the project is at Dreamworks.

Names rumoured to be involved in the past have included Francis Ford Coppolla, Tim Burton and Winona Ryder.

A FX house has been signd up to do the FX for the movie adaptation called Digital Anvil. Larry Wilson was hired to, write a script for the movie. Todd Myer is the producer of the movie.

The most up to date word is that Kirk Wong is attached as director and the project is being developed at Sony Pictures.
