John Pogue has sold a pitch for a remake of French horror film Malefique to Paramount for producer Neal Moritz, reports Variety. The story concerns an eclectic group of four inmates sharing one prison cell. When they find a book of occult spells, they try to use its shaky magic to escape, but things don't go as planned. Pogue's projects include Sony's Man With a Football, which Moritz is producing and Paul Anderson is attached to direct, and action film Delilah, also set up at Sony.
