Tuesday 23rd December 2003 Matrix Revolutions Update:
The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions have failed to make the shortlist for next year's best visual effects Oscar. The Wachowski brothers movies have been overlooked in favour of Hulk, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Peter Pan, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, X-Men 2 and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Three of these films will be nominated for the Oscar, with the nominations due to be announced on January 27.

inexplicable olives.

11th November 2003: The Matrix Revolutions Update:
Dark rumours are circulating that Warner's are planning on
rush releasing The Matrix Revolutions on DVD in time for Christmas
due to the fact they are unhappy with the way the box office
is dropping on the third movie. The rumour mongers are saying
that Warners feel this is the only way they will be able to
sell the third part of the trilogy. Personally I think this
is nothing than utter tosh. The movie made a collosal $85
million in four days, I'm sure Warner's will be feeling quietly
confident about selling Revolutions on it's own and then eventually
as part of a box set.
Monday
10th November 2003: The Matrix Revolutions Update:
What many movie-goers are referring to as an unwelcome 'encroachment
of infomercial advertising' before the start of US screenings
of "The Matrix Revolutions", Nissan Motors has been
planting actors in audiences, who stand and deliver lines
accompanied by a Nissan Altima ad on screen.
The campaign is part of a new trend called 'underground' or
'experiential' advertising.
So far the reaction has been negative. Many audience members
have been startled by the sudden 'live theater' experience
and feel that the high prices of movie tickets is more than
enough for them to deal with.

3rd October 2003: The Matrix Revolutions Update:
looks like Warners are trying an online game similar to the
game that was ran for A.I. a while back. This one starts at
http://www.metacortechs.com/.
The website was launched 2 days ago about this company named
Metacortex, the same company Neo worked for before he was
unplugged. The website is filled with codes and riddles and
Matrix fans are working day and night to find out what they
mean.
Here are some of the codes found:
-After the flash intro does its thing and you get to the main
page, scroll down to the bottom and click on DIRECTORY.
-You'll get a map with a bunch of clickable locations, of
which only REDLAND works - it's the one all the way to the
left.
-You'll now be taken to a screen where you can enter employee
names from Metacortex. Type in AndersonThomas and you'll see
that he's been transferred somewhere, but it's undisclosed.
Kinda cool.
-Type in AveryJames and you'll get an interesting binary code
and a flickering picture to the left. Binary code can be translated
with the binary code keys from TheMatrix.com maybe?

The Matrix Revolutions will world premiere at the new Disney

Frank Gehry, made the deal to land the hall as a premiere
venue for the sequel. During a construction tour last spring
of the downtown L.A. site, Silver broached the idea of premiering
the film there, and the designer embraced the idea. To grab

18th August 2003: The Matrix Revolutions Update:
Joel Silver and gang have been chatting about the highly-anticipated
The
Matrix Revolutions, with the producer saying that it's "an
all-out war
between the humans and the machines, and will blow minds.”
One of the key
scenes, Silver reveals, is "a 14-minute, $40 million
battle scene that is
the most complicated sequence ever put on film." Meanwhile,
according to
Keanu Reeves, "there's a battle between Zion and the
machines. And the
relationship between Agent Smith and Neo is resolved."
Also, "some questions
of the journey of Neo as The One are answered. And there’s
lots of
surprises." Adds Jada Pinkett Smith, who returns as Niobe
in the third film:
"I'm more involved in the story. I help save the day,
and you see my love
story with Laurence resolved. I don't think anybody gets married."

picture from the film can be seen by clicking

Friday
18th July 2003: The Matrix Revolutions Update: Nona
Gaye, who will reprise her role of Zee in The Matrix Revolutions, says the
third and final film will answer all of the questions anyone might have. "People
will be relieved when they see Revolutions," she said. "I know a lot
of people are like, 'What's going on?'" Gaye added that the film will
still be philosophically complex and that viewers will still have to work
to understand the film's answers. "I think it depends on your perception,"
she said. "When I read the script, it made sense to me." You will
also see more of Zee in Revolutions. "Number three is where I get down,"
said Gaye. "I'm doing a lot of diving and running and jumping and stuff."

Thursday 15th June 2003: The Matrix: Revolutions Update: Just received
the following info on The Matrix: Revolutions from Natalie
"The release date for the UK has so far been confirmed as November 7th. As
for the plot etc, the best comments I can give you are here:
Joel
Silver says: "Reloaded and Revolutions could be one film. But I htink
they work best as two sittings. It's quite a lot to absorb. Revolutions is all-out
war between the humans and the machines and will, by all accounts, blow your fucking
minds. We have a 14 minute, $40 million battle sequence that is the most complicated
sequence ever put on film. John
Gaeta, stunt director: "Reloaded, no problem; even though it was incredibly
difficult, there was a lot of buffer time built in. Revolutions, on the other
hand is aggressive because it's quite grand. Revolutions is much more epic. More
creature based and much more about machines and bio-mechanical places. It's an
awesome catagory to work in as a lot of us are big fans of Alien. It's a completely
different train to anything we've done before. Dan
Cracchiolo, Production executive: "You know Revolutions is the real thing,
right? Revolutions is the pay off. Reloaded is just a tease...." And
the man himself, Neo - Keanu Reeves: "The first is about birth. The second
about life. The third about death. I don't know though. Maybe it should be called
The Matrix Resurrection."

Friday 16th May 2003: The Matrix Revolutions Update: The
release of The Matrix Revolutions looks set to become a truly global event.
Producer Joel Silver is apparently aiming for a simultaneous worldwide release
for the third movie in the series on November 5. "We're still working
it out logistically, but the audience is ready," he said. By releasing
the film at exactly the same time around the world, it means that some countries
will inevitably end up premiering the film at about 4am. "The story
will end in the next movie," he added, meaning audiences will want to
see it as soon as possible.

Thursday 17th April 2003: The Matrix: Revolutions Update: The
Wachowski Brothers have made it official; the trailer for Revolutions will be
attached to the end of Reloaded (yes after the credits). With Reloaded coming
out on May 15th, 2003 and Revolutions on November 7th, 2003 fans will have 6 full
months to salivate. Item: Mark Lerch

May 2002: The Matrix Revolutions Update:
| Here's
a bizarre rumour for you. The News Of The World newspaper over here in the UK
have reported that British Pop Idol reject Tony Lundon, who performs in the band
Liberty X, is up for a part in The Matrix Revolutions. Apparently, the casting
directors met up with Lundon after the Oscar ceremony a couple of years ago where
he was performing with Michael Flatley in a Lord Of The Dance routine. They remembered
him and have met up with him to discuss a part. Or so the News Of The World says.
Anyway, here's a piccie of him on the right. | |
11/12/01 The release
date for The Matrix 3, or The Matrix Revolutions as it rumoured to be titled will
be just six months after The Matrix Reloaded, in November of 2003.
Updated : 1/7/01 The Matrix 3 is being shot back
to back with The Matrix
Reloaded (Matrix 2) and will use the same cast and crew. Here's what
we know so far. In the second sequel will be Keanu Reeves (Neo), Laurence Fishburbe
(Morpheus), Carrie Ann-Moss (Trinity), Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith), Jada Pinkett-Smith
(Niobi), Aaliyah (Zee) and Daniel Bernhardt (Agent Johnston). Helming are Andy
and Larry Wachowski, the creators of the first movie and producing once again
is Joel Silver. Pop star Aaliyah's role in this movie is said to be more
substantial than in The
Matrix 2. Other actors said to be involved include Monica Bellucci and Harold
Perrineau. Effects house Manex are back to do the spectacular magic that
they did so well with the original. And news just in, the full title
for the third movie is said to be "The Matrix: Revolutions".
