Saturday Night Live’s Ana Gasteyer has joined the cast
of Mean Girls,
playing the mother of Lindsay Lohan in the comedy. Lohan plays
a teen who
enrolls at a Chicago public high school after growing up abroad.
She then
experiences how cruel teenagers, especially girls, can be when
she falls in
love with the wrong guy. Gasteyer plays her mother, a research
zoologist who
instigates the move to the Windy City.

film as well as Jonathan Bennett, Tim Meadows and Amy Poehler.

Rachel McAdams (The Hot Chick) will play opposite Lindsay Lohan
in Paramount's upcoming teen comedy Mean Girls. McAdams is set
to star as Regina, one of the popular girls at an Illinois public
high school. The story centres on Lohan's character, who has
grown up abroad and must experience how cruel teenage girls
can be after she falls in love with the wrong boy and is reduced
to using the same mean-spirited methods to win him as the other
girls. Mark S. Waters, who directed Lohan in Freaky Friday,
is slated to helm.

Waters in Paramount's upcoming teen comedy Mean Girls. The story

parents, but

school and
falls in love with the ex-boyfriend of one of the most popular
girls. Things
