Friday 4th March 2005: Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous Update:
The following promo images for Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous were just received. I can't honestly say I'm looking forward to this at all, sure the first one was a big hit and Sandy Bullock is pretty damn good at playing the buffoon, but boy oh boy was the trailer an absolute stinker. The fact that Michael Caine didn't return, and he always shows up for a paycheck, was a bad sign that this could be a tedious trawl through the same jokes as the first one. It's released in the US on 24th March and the UK on 25th March.

12th January 2005: Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous Update:
Two thoughts on this. 1. Seeing the trailer for this made
me think, if something looks like, sounds like and tastes like
shite, then it is shite. 2. Last time Sandy Bollocks did a sequel
was Speed 2 and that was dung as well.Harsh, but do you really
want to spend your hard earned on your own waste product?

17th March 2004: Miss Congeniality 2 Update:
Sandra Bullock's love interest for Miss Congeniality 2 is to
be Enrique Murciano. Bullock returns in the sequel as FBI Special
Agent Gracie Hart who heads to Las Vegas on a new case with
a fellow FBI agent, played by Regina King. Murciano will star
as a liaison with the Las Vegas bureau of the FBI who falls
for Hart after recently being dumped by his own girlfriend.

15th March 2004: Miss Congeniality 2 Update:
Director John Pasquin looks to have signed up Regina King to
the cast of Miss Congeniality 2, as Samantha, a FBI agent whop
is teamed up with Bullock's character and must head to Las Vegas
on a new case they've been assigned. Heather Burns and William
Shatner also star.
Tuesday
3rd February 2004: Miss Congeniality 2 Update:
Chris at FilmJerk has been in touch with the following Miss
Congeniality 2 scoop "FilmJerk.com has learned that William
Shatner and Heather Burns will both reprise the roles they played
in the original Miss Congeniality in the forthcoming sequel.
Production for Miss Congeniality 2, which returns Sandra Bullock
to the central role of Gracie Hart, will begin April 5 in Los
Angeles. Additionally, producers are now looking to cast several
lead and supporting roles and, interestingly, the quite-busy
Michael Caine, who played Victor Melling in the original and
was expected back, is not presently listed as part of the cast.

Thursday 11th December 2003: Miss Congeniality Update:
John Pasquin has closed a deal to direct Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality 2, which is scheduled to start in the spring in Los Angeles. Bullock will reprise her role as Special Agent Gracie Hart and will again produce from a script by Marc Lawrence, who also penned the original Donald Petrie-directed film.
Tuesday 25th November 2003: Miss Congeniality 2 Update:
Michael Caine is expected to star in Castle Rock's sequel to the Sandra Bullock romantic comedy Miss Congeniality. Bullock committed to the sequel, which she will also produce, based on a Marc Lawrence script.
Wednesday
22nd October 2003: Miss Congeniality 2 Update:
Sandra Bullock and her Fortis Films producing company have signed
a two-year
extension at Warner Bros., with the star committing to reprise
her role as
Special Agent Gracie Hart in a Marc Lawrence-scripted sequel
to Miss
Congeniality. Warners and co-financier Village Roadshow Pictures
have set a
March start date for the sequel. Bullock will be the sole producer
on the
project and she is interviewing directors after locking in the
script.
