The US release date for Mr. 3000 has changed to 24th
September 2004.

The following info on the filming for Mr. 3000 has
appeared online today "The first 15,000 fans, 17
and older, to enter Miller Park for the Brewers' game
against Colorado on July 5 will receive a poster featuring
actor Bernie Mac, the star of the upcoming motion picture
"Mr. 3,000," in a Brewers uniform.The film,
which will be shot next month in Milwaukee, features
Mac as a Brewers player who retires after collecting
his 3,000th hit and then finds out a statistical error
actually left him with 2,997."
Monday 9th June 2003: Mr. 3000 Update:
Just received word on the Mr. 3000 filming "Just
wanted to let you know that today, June 7, they asked
people to come out to Miller Park, the Milwaukee Brewers
home stadium (a new Brewer stadium since the film Major
League) to be potentially cast as extras for the Disney/Bernie
Mac film, Mr. 3000.The casting call consisted of all
of us waiting in line for roughly 2 and 1/2 hours to
3 hours to have our photos taken and have it attached
to a sheet with our vital stats as they relate to the
"Movie Biz!" It was fun, actually, as we all
chatted with one another and slowed down a bit on a
Saturday morning/afternoon. Whatever the outcome, it
was worth the time and was enjoyable to see the beginnings
of a movie production!" Thanks to Kevin!

White will star opposite Bernie Mac and Angela Bassett
in Disney
comedy Mr. 3000. White will play a rising star who befriends
Mac's
character.

Michael
Rispoli is set to join Bernie Mac and Angela Bassett
in Disney's
baseball comedy Mr. 3000. Rispoli will play Mac's former
teammate turned
business partner in the film.

star Dondre T. Whitfield, a three-time Daytime Emmy
nominee for his
work on All My Children, has been added to the line-up
for Disney's baseball
comedy Mr. 3000, starring Bernie Mac and Angela Bassett.

Angela
Bassett is set to star opposite Bernie Mac in baseball
comedy Mr.
3000 for director Charles Stone. The film centres on
a retired Detroit
Tigers player (Mac) who comes out of retirement when
three of his base hits
are disallowed, dropping him below the prized 3,000-hit
plateau. Bassett
will play a sports reporter who is Mac's love interest
in the film.

Mac has signed on to star in Mr. 3000 for director Charles
Stone it has been revealed today. The movie starts filming
the middle of this month.

Disney looked to have signed up Charles Stone for
the director's hotseat of Mr. 3000. The movie will tell
the tale of a retired Detroit Tigers baseball player
who comes out of retirement when three of his base hits
are disallowed, dropping him below the prized 3,000-hit
plateau.

Bernie Mac will star in the title role in Mr 3000, a
film about a retired baseball player for the Detroit
Tigers who returns to the game when three of his past
base hits are disallowed, dropping him below the 3,000-hit
plateau. The film will distributed by Touchstone Pictures
ans Spyglass Entertainment. The script is written by
Eric Champnella and Keith Mitchell.
