Synopsis:
In 1999, Fanning established Napster in his dorm room
at Northeastern University in Boston as a way for college
students to exchange music files on the Internet. Soon,
he left college to start Napster as an online business.
He was sued by the Recording Industry Association of America,
Dr. Dre, and Metallica.

Paramount and MTV Films have hired writer-actor Alex Winter
("Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure") to write
"Napster: The Shawn Fanning Bio Project." In
1999, Fanning established Napster in his dorm room at
