Dennis Hopper is returning to the director's chair for A Night in Old Mexico with producer David Valdes. The road movie follows Robert Duvall as an aging man who travels to Mexico with his grandson. The script comes from Bill Wittliff.


Tuesday 30th December 2003 A Night in Old Mexico Update:
Robert Duvall will start filming this modern western in the Spring. "It's an original script written by Bill Wittliff, who wrote the adaptation of 'Lonesome Dove,"' says Duvall. "It's about a guy who is going to have his ranch and everything taken away because the bank foreclosed, and he gets his grandson and his son he hasn't seen in years and heads to Mexico for one last hurrah in a whorehouse. It's a raging-against-old-age statement." Walter Hill is tipped to direct.
