I checked out Ocean's Eleven for the first time yesterday, and while the film won't dissapoint most of its viewers, I felt that it lacked the coolness and style that we say back in Out Of Sight, Soderburgh and Clooney's last collaboration. It's still pretty cool non the less. Anyway, here's a review sent in to us by our friend Mazzyboi.

Also, I have details on what we can expect from the dvd release. Check those out below. The film was released at cinemas in the UK last Friday (15th February) and will be released on dvd in the US on May 7th 2002.

Extras:  Commentary by director Steven Soderbergh and cast members
Behind-the-scenes featurette
"Are You In or Out?" HBO Special

There are a few reviews over at Aint It Cool to feast your eyes upon. These guys have nothing but positive things to say about the movie, "Just got back from the screening in Pasadena and the film is just brilliant. Great acting, great script, the crowd was very into it". Click to visit the site and read the reviews, but beware there are spoilers!!!

Composer David Holmes is to begin the film's score this week. In this posted on Dark Horizons, Holmes describes the sort of stuff he'll be doing, "I've been talking to Stephen [Soderburgh] and thinking the thing through. The film's been completely rewritten and it's going to be a contemporary piece. I'll probably take a lot of influence from the original soundtrack and put a contemporary edge to it. Really old and funky but still sounding new. It'll be a completely different film" He will even be using a hip hop DJ for the movie's soundtrack. Sounds pretty cool, but i've always been a fan of Home's music. Check out Out Of Sight as he also did the score for that.

Update: 25/4/01
Wanna read a script review of Ocean's Eleven? Well AICN have bagged one. Follow this link to check it out.

Oceans11.co.uk have some cool snaps from the set. Apart from the ones posted below, they have some pics of George Clooney and Matt Damon that look like they have been sent in by a fan (they are pretty low quality however, but worth a look.) Click to see them.

Warner Bros have a few domains registered in connection with Oceans Eleven. www.oceanseleven-movie.net and www.oceanseleven-movie.com (there's nothing there yet) and this one which is hosted at their main site which gives a cast and crew list (but thats all).

Update: 18/4/01

The Sun (left Andy Garcia, Julia Roberts and Lennox Lewis and right George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh?)
Having only just got round to posting this page, i've got a rather large update on the production, so here goes.

Filming commenced mid February in Atlantic City and then moved on to Las Vegas shortly afterwards. Soderburgh also filmed some reaction shots of the crowd during the recent Prince Naseem bout. This will be used during the fake match between heavyweights Lennox Lewis and Vladimir Klitschko in the film.

CHUD were the first guys online to score a script review of the movie which can be found over at their site.

If that leaves you thirsty for more pics from the set get yourself along to Sinemafanatik.com where they have a bunch more that were posted earlier on today!
