Director Paul Thomas Anderson ("Magnolia") has adapted the 1927 novel "Oil"! "Oil!" by Upton Sinclair. This will be Anderson's first film to use an adapted screenplay. It's a tale of scandal, intrigue, and politics. Daniel Day-Lewis is expected to star. Financing is being sought.
