Here's the first promo images for Roman Polanski's latest
version of the classic Oliver Twist tale. Can't see WHY we're
getting ANOTHER version of the classic tale. IMDB has an amazing
19 versions already out there, and how on earth they will be
able to better the 1948 Alec Guinness version si anyone's guess.
No release date set as yet.

Sony Pictures have picked up the rights to distribute the upcoming
version of Oliver Twist from Roman Polanski.

27th April 2004: Oliver Twist Update:
Roman Polanski has signed up Sir Ben Kingsley to star as Fagin
and Barney Clark to star as Oliver Twist in his upcoming adaptation
of the Dicken's classic tale. Jamie Foreman has been signed
up as Bill Sykes and Frank Finlay as Mr. Brownlow. Filming starts
in Prague on 12th July at Barrandov Studios. Producing are Alain
Sarde and Robert Benmussa with the adaptation by Ron Harwood.

Director Roman Polanski has revealed that he will next helm
another adaptation of Oliver Twist. The script has been written
by Ronald Hardwood. The movie will be based on the classic tale
by Charles Dickens.

Roman Polanski and screenwriter Ronald Harwood, who won Oscars
this year for
The Pianist, have re-teamed for a feature adaptation of Charles
Dickens' Oliver Twist. It will be Polanski's next film, which
he plans to shoot in Europe next summer, using a British cast.
