The One kicked off production in and around LA in October of last year with a budget of around $40 million, with the lead, Jet Li receiving around $7 million of that. Li replaced the original choice of star, The Rock (The Mummy Returns).

In this Jet Li will play multiple roles as the cop and his evil other half, as too will Carla Guigino (Spy Kids) who plays Li's wife and evil Li's wife.

Jason Statham and Delroy Lindo play two agents responsable for stopping people jumping from universe to universe.

James Wong (director and co-writer) is also responsable for the screenplay of Final Destination, TV series' The Others and various episodes of Millenium, so he should do well with this sci-fi fare. Co-writer Glen Morgan also collaborated with Wong on most of the above projects.

Release date is now set for 2nd November in the US after being pushed back from September.
