Latest updates on Ozzy Osbourne Biopic

Ozzy Osbourne Biopic Updated :

Wednesday 12th November 2003: Ozzy Osbourne Biopic Update:
Jeff has been in touch the following update on the in development Ozzy biopic "the only other Osbourne of the family who will appear will be Sharon. "Diary of a Madman" is a very apt title, and does feel just right in every other way as well. This will seem somewhat another 'Fear and Loathing' type film, with Randy Rhoades at Ozzy's side during the majority of the film. A wild night/day/night, Ozzy meets Sharon at the end and will probably be in it for about fifteen minutes, not the real Sharon Osbourne. I am currently working upon 'THE' script and everything else (other than the title) is rubbish. The Ozzy in this movie is apparently destitute, regardless of the few records he has actually made at this point and the audiences won't care that it is never explained why he is broke and pissed off because of it at times."

Thursday 15th October 2003: Ozzy Osbourne Biopic Update:
Jack Black has expressed more than a passing interest in biting into the
role of Ozzy Osbourne in the proposed movie of the rock star’s life. Black
apparently pleaded his case to Osbourne's wife Sharon on her syndicated talk
show last week. Black reportedly said, "Ozzy was a hero of mine as a kid
and I have to say, I've been tracking the Ozzy film. If anyone's Ozzy, I'm
Ozzy."

Wednesday 27th August 2003: Ozzy Osbourne Biopic Update:
Anon has been in touch advising that the script being developed is called Diary of a Madman!

Tuesday 26th August 2003: Ozzy Osbourne Biopic Update:
Anon has just been in touch with the following scoop "a guy named Aaron Magnani has written a script based on Ozzy's life. Supposedly Sharon Osbourne has read this guy's script and is working with him to polish it before submitting it to Johnny Depp. The word is Magnani developed the script based on 5 years from of research. The script will focus on
Ozzy's earlier years and into the late eighties."

Saturday 9th August 2003: Ozzy Osbourne Biopic Update:
Rumour, and is this a day off rumours or what? has Johnny Depp signing up to play Ozzy Osbourne in the in development biopic of Ozzy Osbourne.

Tuesday 15th April 2003: Ozzy Osbourne Biopic Update:
Bad boy Colin Farrell rumoured to be the top choice to play Ozzy Osbourne in
the forthcoming film based on the rocker’s life. Film bosses believe Farrell
has the perfect credentials to take on the part. One insider says: "Colin
drinks, he smokes, he womanizes. He's just a sleeve tattoo away from being a
real rock star."

Wednesday 2nd April 2003: Ozzy Osbourne Biopic Update:
Get ready for The Osbournes: The Movie. Having taken MTV by storm, word has
it that Ozzy Osbourne's life is to be immortalised on celluloid, with
Paramount Pictures and MTV said to be in talks to make a biopic of the heavy
metal star's life. A spokesperson for the Osbournes has confirmed that a
biopic is in the offing, but no details have been revealed.

Wednesday 30th October 2002: Ozzy Osbourne Biopic Update:

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that a feature length film about the life of rocker Ozzy Osbourne may be in the works. Osbourne's wife Sharon has told the trade that they are in negotiations with an [unnamed] major studio and that she is helping to write the film's screenplay.

However, she did reveal that Ozzy wouldn't be in the film himself, but a possible actor to play him is the one any only Johnny Depp.
