The writing team behind Garfield and Cheaper by the Dozen, Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow, have been signed up by Paramount to pen the screenplay for the big screen adaptation of The Partridge Family.

Thursday 6th May 2004: The Partridge Family Update:
Billy Gerber and Paramount have bought up the rights to the classic TV show The Partridge Family with original writer Bernard Slade acting as exectutive producer. "Like the original series, it's a contemporary family comedy. We aren't looking to make it some campy remake but a mainstream family movie in the vein of 'School of Rock,"' said Gerber.
