Queen and Country Updated:

Monday 7th July 2003: Queen & Country Update:
Writer John Rogers has revealed that he has completed a draft for his
adaptation of comic book Queen & Country for Tall Tree Productions at 20th
Century Fox. The movie will centre on Tara Chace an assassin employed by
MI6.

Thursday 6th February 2003: Queen & Country Update:
Writer John Rogers has been spilling the beans on the development of the script for Queen & Country "The script very closely follows the arc of the first two stories in the book. Greg's great work in counterpointing Tara's emotional collapse vs. her dangerous job set a high bar for the script adaptation. Much like I constantly found the solutions to my writing problems while adapting Mage by going back to Matt's Wagner's original work (and occasionally calling him in a panic), the Queen & Country books make my life as an adapter much easier. There are a few sequences that are 'opened up' visually, making them more filmic. Tara does slightly less laying around hung-over in her t-shirt and slightly more running around doing spy things. And fans of BBC's The Sandbaggers will probably spot a few references in there as well. The script also tries to stay in the 'real world', like the source material, as much as possible. No jet cars. Not that I don't like jet cars. Although I'd prefer a laser watch." The movie is being developed by Tall Trees Productions at 20th Century Fox.
