Just received some info on the last day of filming
on Raising Helen "the final day of filming for
"Raising Helen" with Kate Hudson, and they'll
film at Penn Station (the train station here in Manhattan)
and have a wrap party at Tuscan Steak restaurant."

Thursday 1st May 2003: Raising Helen Update:
The following information on Raising Helen has just
been received " I got to see filming of "Raising
Helen" in Queens Tuesday. They were filming at
the school I teach at which will be called St. Barbara's
in the film. Kate Hudson and the three kids were getting
out of a taxi, walking into the school. " Thanks

Just received the following set report for Raising
Helen. Thanks to Luigi "
The downtown financial district in Manhattan is filled
with trailers and prop trucks for the filming of Raising
Helen. There are about two dozen prop vehicles parked
along Pearl St. near Fraunce's tavern ... fake police
cars, taxis, and delivery vehicles. The actors were
nowhere to be found. But it was lunchtime, so they were
probably stuffing their faces with food"
Tuesday 22nd April 2003: Raising Helen Update:
Just received the following update on Raising Helen
"I also live on 42nd street where they are filming
"Raising Helen"..They made a fake station
on 47th Ave and they guard it day and night as if someone
will walk away with it. What a nuisance they are...No
parking on like 5 blocks for at least a week and if
you do, they will give tow your car, also you cannot
walk up and down blocks freely when they are filming,
luckily me and my boyfriend were allowed to sit on our
front door stoop and we were able to see Kate Hudson
walking from the fake train station onto the other side
of the street like 100 times while filming. Also the
building that she's supposed to "live in"
has a fake awning that has 92-(70) address sign."

Monday 21st April 2003: Raising Helen Update:
Just
received the following information on the filming of
Raising Helen "I live near the location where Raising
Helen is being filmed in Sunnyside, Queens. They will
also be filming near the Queens Vocational High School.
They will also be filming the park that is across the
street from 42-09. They also made a fake train station
stairway, which is for the G, R, and V trains. The train
stop is called 47th Avenue, Queens. However, on the
other side of that sign, it says Greenpoint Ave, Queens.
The 47th Ave. side is correct, but the Greenpoint Ave.
sign is wrong. That train stairway is located 1 block
away from Greenpoint Ave. They also placed a fake phone
booth in front of the apartment complex that they will

Just received the following information on Raising
Helen "On April 16th Raising Helen will be filming
in Sunnyside Queens at 42-09
47th Avenue. The filming at that location will be about

28th January 2003: Raising Helen Update:
Director Garry Marshall has signed up John Corbett,
Joan Cusack, Helen Mirren, Felicity Huffman, Amber Valetta
and Hector Elizondo to star in Raising Helen. Mirren
plays the head of a modelling agency. Huffman plays
the sister of the Kate Hudson (Helen) character who
gets killed in a car crash and Helen has to bring up
the three kids. Corbett will star as Dan a pastor who
falls in love with Helen. Cusack will play Helen's other
sister. Valetta plays a model at the agency and Elizondo
a car dealership owner.
