Reese Witherspoon's production
co. Type A Films are developing a project called
The Reckoning for her at Paramount Pictures.
The script has been written by Ted Tally, and
is based on the book by Jeff Long that follows
a photojournalist who arrives in Cambodia to
cover the U.S. military search for the remains
of an American pilot shot down during the Vietnam
War.

2004: The Reckoning Update:
Paramount have picked up the rights to the unreleased book The
Reckoning by Jeff Long. The supernatural thriller follows a
female New York Times photojournalist who follows a team to
Cambodia to recover the bones of lost soldiers and Reese Witherspoon
is in talks to star and produce the project which is currently
being adapted by Silence of the Lambs screenwriter Ted Tally.
