Writer-director Mike Binder (The Upside of Anger) is developing Reign O'er Me, a drama that Don Cheadle and Adam Sandler are in talks to star in. Sony Pictures Entertainment is angling to acquire the Binder-scripted film and would make it next year with a budget under $20 million. Sandler would play a man who lost his family on Sept. 11 and has never recovered from his grief. He runs into his former college roommate (Cheadle), who has become a doctor and who is determined to help his ex-roomie come to grips with his loss. Reign O'er Me is poised to be the third significant studio project to take on 9/11.
