Thursday 27th November 2003: Scary Movie 3 Update:
Well, yesterday's story about Scary Movie 3 being pulled from the UK release schedules has turned out to be complete and utter rubbish. We decided to check the facts rather than just running the story uncorroberated and contacted Buena Vista who are distributing the movie in the UK and they told us that Scary Movie IS STILL BEING RELEASED on 16th January 2004.

Friday 24th October 2003: Scary Movie 3 Update:
Pop Idol’s Simon Cowell’s has received a taste of his own medicine. The
acid-tongued judge was apparently “gutted” to find his cameo appearance in
Scary Movie 3 had been slashed by director David Zucker. One friend
reportedly said: “He felt like those poor people he tells they have no
chance of making it. He was very disappointed.” Cowell played himself in a
scene parodying rap artist Eminem’s movie 8 Mile. He tells the rappers what
he thinks of them and is shot to pieces by a dozen clubgoers. The director
deleted scenes showing him bouncing back up and saying: “Is that all you’ve
got, that’s pathetic,” before getting shot again.

scenes are being shot. Anthony Anderson, who spoofs Mekhi Phifer’s character
in 8 Mile, has reportedly rushed up to Vancouver to shoot the additional
footage. "The movie's been testing through the roof," he said. "They're
actually expanding my part because people have commented that they want to
see more of my character.”

Pamela Anderson has been talking about her cameo appearance in Scary Movie
3 "It's the opening of the movie and it's a spoof of, um, one of those
scary movies (The Ring), which I never watch because I don't like scary
movies. I'm a Catholic school girl, let's start there. Obviously, it
[involves] a scary situation that turns out to be ridiculous. It's a small
part."

Friday 16th May 2003: Scary Movie 3 Update:
Scary Movie 3 has just entered the realms of the truly frightening with the
news that Pamela Anderson is to have a cameo in the forthcoming spoof, along
with Jenny McCarthy. They appear together in a scene lampooning The Ring, as
McCarthy revealed: “If you saw The Ring, which you should because it's a
deliciously scary movie, it has two Catholic school girls having somewhat of
a slumber party when they begin to talk about the video that kills you. So
Scary Movie 3 parodied that and they called upon myself and Pamela Anderson
to play the two Catholic school girls. So here we are.”

Tuesday 29th April 2003: Scary Movie 3 Update:
Naked Gun star Leslie Nielsen has been talking about his role in horror
spoof Scary Movie 3. "I play the President of the United States," he
reveals. "I guess Martin Sheen was busy!" As for the hush-hush script,
there’s not much he can add: "Everybody has become so closed mouthed about
this. I got a script with a big red line on it. If you try to Xerox it, the
whole page turns red. I had to ask for another copy. Everyone's been signing
a pledge not to reveal details of the story. But I do know it's funny."

Monday 27th April 2003: Scary Movie 3 Update:
A third teaser poster for Scary Movie 3 has appeared online. Hot on the

Can. You can flex your chuckle muscles by clicking here.

Further to the rumours that Kevin Smith had been signed up to write the script for Scary Movie 3 it now turns out that's not quite the case. He was offered the job, turned it down recommended his pal Bryan Lynch, who got the job, Smith will read the script for him and may add a few gags/polishing the script. Dear God, is this really true? Kevin Smith has signed on to executive produce and write Scary Movie 3 for David Zucker to direct. He will be co-writing the movie alongside Pat Proft, Brian Lynch and Craig Mazin. Sounds like Mr Smith is spreading himself a bit thin, Jersey Girl, comics, this, stop!

Tuesday 26th November 2002: Scary Movie 3, Episode 1: Lord Of The Brooms Update:
Following yesterdays news that Naked Gun helmer David Zucker is direct Scary Movie 3 for Dimension, today we learn that there are three writers penning the films screenplay. Variety reports, 'Pat Proft, Brian Lynch and Craig Mazin will write the script for the sequel, which Dimension expects to begin lensing by February'.

7/1/02
Well, it was always going to be on the cards after the sucess of the first and moderate sucess of the second film. The original stars/ writers/ director, The Wayans have not stated that they will return for the third film.

This, the third film will probably spoof such films as The Lord Of The Rings, the Harry Potter series, The Matrix (again) and Star Wars. Filming will begin in March indicating that the film will be another hurried production, much like Scary Movie 2. Scary Movie 3 looks like it will be released in December of this year.
