Monday 17th November 2003: Shaun of the Dead Update:
Bill Nighy has been talking up forthcoming movie Shaun of the Dead. "This year I've been king of the vampires in Underworld, a knackered rock star in Love Actually and, in the birth of a genre, a zombie in the rom-zom-com which is Shaun of the Dead, which I think is a real rocker. I think its' going to travel and I think it's going to be an international hit. Nick Frost and Simon Pegg are comic geniuses, they are absolutely inspired young men. They're sick also, they're sick in the head. There is so much blood in this movie that it's unhealthy and wrong in every way."

Some, errrmm enigmatic? cryptic? pics from the filming of Shaun of the Dead have appeared online Click Here. Also and insider on the project has weighed in with the following "SHAUN OF THE DEAD is well into filming, and gaining momentum. It's been a fairly arduous few weeks, with weather conditions changing the schedule, people getting ill and the usual little traumas associated with making a film... On the other hand, we've also had days of sunshine in Finsbury park, barbecues and mischievous pranks being played here and there. On the whole, it's prooving to be a long and laborious process, often fun and rewarding, sometimes frustrating, tedious and tiring, but ultimately a very satisfying experience..." Thanks to Anon!

Thursday 17th April 2003: Shaun of the Dead Update:
Filming on Shaun of the Dead will kick (or hobble?) off on Tuesday the 22nd April. The story will centre on a group of friends who encounter a literal night from hell at their local pub. Nira Park is producing from an original screenplay by Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg, who also stars with Nick Frost, Kate Ashfield and Lucy Davis. Directing is Edgar Wright. Wright had this to say about the movie "a naturalistic comedy about the zombiefied existence of late twenty-somethings, crossbred with a full-scale zombie invasion."

The Director of Spaced , a seminal UK tv show, Edgar Wright has announced he will be filming a movie called Shaun of the Dead in the UK this summer for nine weeks starting in the middle of may. The movie will be a romantic zombie comedy.
