23rd March 2004: Silver City Update:
The US distribution rights to John Sayles movie Silver City
have been snapped up by Newmarket Films. The movie stars Maria
Bello, Thora Birch, Chris Cooper, Richard Dreyfuss, Daryl Hannah,
Danny Houston, Kris Kristofferson and Tim Roth. Set in Colorado
during a state gubernatorial race, the film follows a grammatically
challenged, born-again candidate who is the scion of a formidable
right-wing political dynasty.
Tuesday
28th October 2003: Silver City Update:
Jeff has been in touch with the following update on the Silver
City filming "Saturday October 25th the filming of the
Day of the Dead parade took place on Harrison Avenue in downtown
historic Leadville. Daryl Hannah was spotted on Harrison under
the production tent. Monday the 27th filming was taking place
on 6th street in Leadville and will continue in the Leadville
area until the 29th I believe."

Dm has been in touch to advise that the filming on Silver City
has been taking place at Soda Creek, Evergreen, Colorado.

3rd October 2003: Silver City Update:
Word reaches us that the filming on Silver City is now moving
to Leadville, Colorado.
Thursday
2nd October 2003: Silver City Update:
Stacy has just sent in the following info on Silver City "They
were filming in the Equitable Building in downtown Denver yesterday
(9/30/03) and today (10/1/03). Just had my picture taken with
Danny Huston and got to catch an eye of filming with Richard
Dryfus and Huston together. FYI: The Equitable Building is a
120 year old historic condo office building with fantastic history
as well as architecture. They are to wrap up this afternoon
here and move to their next location."

Billy Zane has been added to the cast of Silver City, and he
will play a very successful lobbyist with political ambitions
and the boyfriend of Maria Bello's character.

24th September 2003: Silver City Update:
This just in from Craig " They are filming currently at
17th and Sherman. St. The 1770 Denver events center. A few extras
walking past garden level windows in the alley and Daryl Hannah
has been seen."

Thora Birch has been added to the enseble in this John Sayles
drama.

2nd September 2003: Silver City Update:
Maria Bello (Coyote Ugly) is to star opposite Chris Cooper and
Daryl Hannah
in John Sayles' Silver City, which is set to start production
in Denver on
September 23. The murder mystery is about a gubernatorial campaign
and
disgraced investigative reporter in Colorado. The film also
stars Cheech
Marin, Danny Huston and Kris Kristofferson.
Tuesday
5th August 2003: Silver City Update:
Daryl Hannah, who stars in helmer John Sayles’
upcoming Casa de los Babys,
will reteam with the director on his next project, Silver City.
The movie is
described as a political drama/murder mystery which tells the
story of a
small town in Colorado and the events leading up to a local
election. Among
those events is the discovery of a man's body in a local lake
and the
mystery surrounding his death. Hannah will play a wild girl
named Wendy. The
film, written by Sayles, will start shooting next month.
