Wednesday 18th August 2004 Spanglish Update:
Yes, ANOTHER Adam Sandler, rom com, so what's the hook this time? Sandler and Tea Leoni hire a Spanish housekeeper. At least it's being directed by James L. Brooks, who directed the great As Good As It Gets, so if the script is any good, then maybe, just maybe it could be worth a watch. It's released in the US on 17th December.

Monday 8th December 2003: Spanglish Update:
US casting director Matt Casella will be holding auditions, Tuesday, December 9, 2003 in the 'Terraces Room' of the Sportsman's Lodge for Columbia Pictures' "SPANGLISH". The comedy/drama stars Adam Sandler, Tea Leoni, Anne Bancroft and Paz Vega.
Casella will be casting for the role of Sandler and Leoni's daughter:
a 12-15 year old strong comedic actress.
The casting call will commence at 3 p.m. on Tuesday and run until 6 p.m. in the Terraces Room. The Sportsman's Lodge is located at 12825 Ventura Boulevard (at Coldwater Canyon), Studio City, CA, 91604.

Monday 27th October 2003: Spanglish Update:
Anne Bancroft is to star in romantic comedy Spanglish for Columbia Pictures
and writer/director/producer James L. Brooks. She will co-star alongside
Adam Sandler and Tea Leoni in the film, which is expected to start shooting
at the end of the year. Bancroft will play Leoni's mother in the movie.

Friday 1st August 2003: Spanglish Update:
The following press release for Spanglish "Oscar-winner James L. Brooks,
writer and
director of films such as Terms of Endearment, Broadcast News and As Good
As It Gets is searching for three Latina actresses to star in the highly
anticipated romantic comedy, Spanglish.

Written and directed by Brooks, the film will begin production this fall.
Spanglish is the story of a Latina mother and daughter as they move to Los
Angeles and confront the opportunities and challenges of life in the United
States.

Brooks' company, Gracie Films, is currently looking for three bilingual
Latina actresses to play the following roles: Mother, age 26-34; Daughter,
age 6; Daughter, age 12.

James L. Brooks is to helm and produce his script Spanglish for Columbia
Pictures in his first directorial outing since 1997's As Good As It Gets.
Adam Sandler and Tea Leoni are in negotiations to star in the film, which
will shoot at the end of the year.
