Christopher Walken has joined the cast of Stuart Little 2. Walken will voice the villain Falcon who puts Stuart and a friend in peril.

The anticipated release date for Stuart Little 2 is July 19th 2002.

Not a great deal is known about the sequel to the rather surprising hit of 1999. Returning for the ride are Geena Davis, Jonathan Lipnicki and Brit Hugh Laurie. Michael J. Fox once again is the voice of Stuart Little and also lending their vocal talents to STuart Little 2 are Steve Zahn, Nathan Lane and Melanie Griffith. Griffith will be the voice of Margola the bird who is the love interest of Stuart in the movie.

M. Night Shaymalan wrote the original screenplay, but on board here is Bruce Joel Rubin to pen the script. For those not in the know, Rubin wrote Ghost, Jacobs Ladder and Deep Impact. Rewrites have been completed by Lowell Ganz (City Slickers, A League Of Their Own, Multiplicity) and Babaloo Mandel (Ed-TV, Greedy, Fathers Day).

Stuart Little 2 commenced it's shoot back in March and is heading for a July 2002 release.
