8th January 2004: The Underclassman Update:
Geoff Pierson and Mary Pat Gleason can next be seen with Kelly
Hu and Cheech Marin in the Tapestry production "THE UNDERCLASSMEN"
for director Marcos Siega and producer Peter Abrams. Premise
is about a young detective who goes undercover at an elite private
school to destroy an international stolen car ring. Pierson
plays a former basketball star who is disappointed in his son's
performance on and off the court, while Gleason appears as a
tough school administrator.

15th October 2003: Underclassman Update:
Kelly
Hu has joined the cast of director Marcos Siega's action comedy
Underclassman. The project, about a young detective (Nick Cannon)
who goes
undercover at an elite private school, also stars Shawn Ashmore,
Roselyn
Sanchez, Hugh Bonneville and Cheech Marin. Hu will play Lisa
Brooks, a good
friend on the police force to Cannon's character.

Roselyn Sanchez has been added to the cast of The Underclassman
as a
teacher of the school who is in love with the character played
by Nick
Cannon.

20th August 2003: The Underclassman Update:
Shawn
Ashmore, who plays Iceman in the X-Men films, will star opposite
Nick
Cannon in Miramax Films' The Underclassman, which begins shooting
in October
in Los Angeles and Vancouver. Cannon plays a detective who,
with his
schoolboy looks, goes undercover at an elite private school
and stumbles
upon an international stolen car ring led by one of his rivals
at the
school, played by Ashmore. The investigation gets even more
surprising when
the detective uncovers the person who has been using the students
to steal.

30th June 2003: The Underclassman Update:
Miramax have signed up Marcos Siega to direct a project called
The Underclassman. Starring in the movie is Nick Cannon. The script
has been written by David Wagner and Brent Goldberg. The movie
will follow a 24-year-old
detective who, with his schoolboy looks, doesn't get any respect
from his peers, who constantly send him on petty assignments to
the mall and such. When he goes undercover at an elite private
school, he stumbles upon an
international stolen-car ring involving some of the students.
