12th October 2004: Yankee Irving update:
IDT Entertainment have announced they will be completing
Christopher Reeve's animated fable Yankee Irving with
an eye on a 2006 release. The story is said to be close
to the late Reeve's heart and follows the story of a
boy who overcomes personal obstacles to realize his
large dreams.
Thursday 18th December 2003: Untitled Christopher Reeve Animation Update:
Christopher Reeve is to direct an original feature length animated film. The former Superman star will oversee the entire production process, from character development, casting and set design through animation, lighting, texturing and post-production. The film is an urban fable set in the 1930s and is expected to be completed in early 2005.

Superman star Christopher Reeve has revealed that he
is set to
direct a new film, but he is keeping the details to
himself. "I'm working on
something that I can't announce yet because it's going
to take about a year,
but it's a very famous book that's been around for a
while,” he said. “I
should be shooting because it requires the weather a
year from now. It's
something I've wanted to do for a long time. The author
has turned down over
the years since 1975 eight offers from producers and
studios to make the
film so I'm particularly honored. He saw In the Gloaming
and got in touch
with me and said that if I would direct the film that
he would give the
rights, so that's mind blowing."
