Former
Neighbours star Jesse Spencer is hoping to break into
Hollywood after
landing a film role opposite Brittany Murphy. The actor,
who played Billy
Kennedy in the Australian soap, stars as a singer who
romances Brittany's
rich girl character in Uptown Girls. The comedy also
features Dakota
Fanning, Marley Shelton and Heather Locklear, and is
released in the U.S. in
August. "I don't know whether it'll open doors
for me but here's hoping,”
he said.
