Wednesday 14th May 2003: Vapor Update: Director Neil LaBute has signed up Sandra Bullock
and Ralph Fiennes for his next project Vapor. The movie
is being developed by Renaissance Films with Warner
Bros. thought to be picking up the US rights. The movie
is based on the novel by Amanda Filipacchi that tells
the tale of a struggling actress who saves the life
of a stranger. He turns out to be an eccentric scientist
who, in a surreal variation of the Pygmalion myth, offers
to use his bizarre techniques to transform her into
a star. Filming will start in September with a budget
of around $30 million.
