Vanessa Redgrave, Peter O' Toole, Leslie Phillips, Richard Griffiths and newcomer Jodie Whittaker have signed on to star in Venus for director Roger Michell. The movie will follow a seasoned if unsuccessful thesps in their 70s who are forced to re-evaluate their lives after the introduction of an inquisitive young woman. Miramax will distribute, with the script by Hanif Kureshi.
