a mysterious man in a white porcelain mask who fights
political oppressors through terrorism and seemingly

The release date for V for Vendetta has been pushed back to 17th March 2006. The official reason has the tight post production schedule making it impossible to release in November. The rumour mill has the recent London bombings being the real reason. I guess the only ones that will know are Joel Silver and the Wachowski brothers, sorry nearly forgot the director James McTiegue, I'm sure he's, involved in the process as well. And yes that was sarcasm.

V opposite Natalie Portman, Stephen Rea, Rupert
Graves, and Stephen Fry. James McTeigue is directing

Stephen Fry has been cast in the action thriller
"V For Vendetta." He is playing the
character of Gordon Deitrich, a chat show host
who questions the authority of the people who
run Britain in the post-viral facist state.
According to Fry, John Hurt, Tim Pigott-Smith,
and Sinead Cusack are part of the cast.

James Purefoy (Vanity Fair) will star opposite Natalie Portman
in "V For Vendetta," an adaptation of Alan Moore's
graphic novels. "V For Vendetta" occurs in a totalitarian
England after a war has changed the face of the planet. A enigmatic
man in a white porcelain mask battles political oppressors through
terrorism and shocking actions. Andy and Larry Wachowski wrote
the screenplay, which is based on the 10-issue series by Moore
and illustrator David Lloyd. James McTeigue is directing, and
Joel Silver and the Wachowski brothers are producing for Warner
Bros. Pictures. Filming starts in Berlin in March for a November
4 release.

to produce the Alan Moore graphic novel V for Vendetta starring
Natalie Portman. Set in the futuristic landscape of totalitarian
Britain, V For Vendetta stars Portman as a young woman who becomes
the unlikely ally of a mysterious revolutionary. James McTeigue
will direct The Wachowski's correct.
