Michelle Trachtenberg has replaced Jena Malone in Richard A.
Zelniker's Vinyl; the story of a group of women behind a male
rock band that is on the verge of breakout success. Thora Birch,
Rosario Dawson, Shane West, Lukas Haas, Dominique Swain, Marla
Sokoloff, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Henry Thomas, and Anna Faris
also star.

More casting additions to Vinyl with Shane West and Lukas Haas
being signed up to play a bad boy guitarist and a drummer.

11th February 2004: Vinyl Update:
Richard Zelniker has added Dominique Swain to the cast of Vinyl
alongside Thora Birch, Jena Malone, Marla Sokoloff and Anna
Faris. The project follows the story of a group of women behind
a male rock 'n' roll band that is on the verge of breakout success.
Swain will star as a groupie who is hot after the band's lead
singer.
Monday 22nd December 2003 Vinyl Update:
Anna Faris and Marla Sokoloff are set to appear in Vinyl which will begin shooting in LA from February. Expect more casting news in the new year.

7th October 2003: Vinyl Update:
Writer/Director Richard Zelniker has signed up Thora Birch and
Jena Malone to star in Vinyl. The movie will follow the women
behind a male rock 'n' roll band that is on the verge of breakout
success. Birch will play the wife of the lead singer, with Malone
taking the character of a naive girl from the good side of the
tracks who winds up with a lot of rock 'n' roll spirit in the
end. Filming is thought to be starting in LA early next year.
