Michael Dougherty has been tapped to write Wake the Dead, a feature adaptation of the horror comic. Described as Flatliners meets Frankenstein, the story follows four college kids who set out to reanimate objects and raise the dead.

Saturday 9th August 2003: Wake the Dead Update:
Dimension Films has picked up rights to Steve Niles' comic book Wake the
Dead, a supernatural series which is a retelling of the Frankenstein legend
in the style of cult favorites The Crow and Darkman.
