Wednesday 24th September 2003: The Watch Update:
Director Victor Salva's next project will The Watch and will be developed by New Line. This is what he had to say about the project "It's a remarkable idea for a magnificent widescreen epic event-style horror movie...It has lots of big scares and is a great nightmare diatribe about where the world is headed as long as we still choose to dress up in uniforms and go kill each other - and it is also the quintessential Victor Salva story: a group of ordinary men, already in a life threatening situation, encounter something that simply cannot and should not exist in the real world - a demon of awesome power invoked by the Nazis to fight their foes. But even the Nazi's end up as victims themselves to this destructive and powerful entity that relishes the depravity and violence of war and wants to see that it never ends".
