cast of Without A Paddle as a tree-sitting hippie chick
who falls for one of the main characters.

Matthew Lillard and
Dax Shepard on Without a Paddle.

8th September 2003: Without a Paddle Update:
Burt Reynolds is to portray a reclusive mountain man
in Paramount's buddy comedy Without a Paddle in a tribute
to his breakout role in Deliverance three decades ago.
The film, directed by Stephen Brill, will start shooting
in New Zealand later this month. Without a Paddle centres
on a camping trip gone bad as three city-dwelling friends
(played by Seth Green, Matthew Lillard and Dax Sheppard)
undergo a series of misadventures that anger the locals.

Paramount
Pictures has tapped helmer Steven Brill to direct
camping-trip-gone-bad comedy Without a Paddle. Brill,
who wrote and directed
Little Nicky, also has writing credits on all three
Mighty Ducks films and
penned the original script for forthcoming comedy In
the Pink, which has Tim
Allen attached as a cosmetics salesman.

24th April 2003: Without A Paddle Update:
Paramount
Pictures has greenlit backwoods buddy comedy Without
a Paddle. The story revolves around a trio of city-dwelling
colleagues who go camping off
the beaten track in order to honor the memory of an
adventure-loving friend
who perished accidentally. They become lost and their
inexperience sparks a
series of misadventures with locals, including mistakenly
setting fire to a
grove of marijuana.
