How
excited are we about Wrong Turn : 3 Out Of 10
Our Preview Opinion of Wrong Turn:The film makers claim
to be basing this on the 70's slasher films like Texas
Chainsaw Massacre. It's good they made this claim because
it may cover the shouts of plagarism for other classics
along the lines of Deliverance. Stan Winston is on board
for this one so expect lots of ugly people. I do hope
I'm wrong though.

Friday 29th May 2003: Wrong Turn Update:
Eliza
Dushku has been sharing some of her experiences during the
filming of
chiller Wrong Turn and why she felt compelled to appear in
the movie. "I
think that one of the things that convinced me to do this
movie was meeting
with Stan Winston," she said. "I just straight out
told him that with all
due respect for the monsters that he's made in the past and
the creatures, I
just didn't really want to do a movie about a bunch of kids
getting chased
through the woods by ooga booga boogie monsters. That just
didn't feel real
to me and it didn't feel frightening right now. He said, 'Well,
do these
monsters make you giggle and are these monsters frightening
to you?' He
showed me a picture of the three mountain men and they were
so just
terrifying and grotesque and disgusting, because I liked the
fact that they
were real men and there's a story behind it." She added
that the physical
aspect also appealed to her, something shes more than
familiar with after
her appearances as Faith in Buffy and Angel.

Thursday 14th May 2003: Wrong Turn Update:
With
no trailer making it to theaters, the word has been fairly
quiet on
Fox's Wrong Turn. Special effects wizard Stan Winston has
been talking about
forthcoming chiller Wrong Turn, which stars Jeremy Sisto and
Eliza Dushku.
"There's nothing camp about this movie, he said
in a recent interview.
It's very hardcore horror and has the tone of Deliverance
and The Texas
Chainsaw Massacre." Winston, who is also producing the
film, added: "It's
the real deal, and we haven't seen, I don't think, a really
good serious
horror movie in quite a few years."

Thursday 1st May 2003: Wrong Turn Update:
Movie website Coming Soon! has learned that there will
be no trailer for
forthcoming Eliza Dushku shocker Wrong Turn, which is due
out in the U.S at
the end of the month. An anonymous source informed them that
the MPAA
refused to approve three different versions, with each one
being deemed "too
intense." In the film itself, a wrong turn leaves a group
of young people
trapped and hunted in the West Virginia wilderness. The make-up
and creature
effects were created by f/x guru Stan Winston.
