Jerry O'Connell ("Crossing Jordan") has been cast opposite Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo in "Yours, Mine and Ours," a remake of the 1968 Henry Fonda/Lucille Ball comedy. O'Connell plays a sales agent working for Russo's character. Raja Gosnell ("Scooby-Doo" films) is directing, and principal photography is set to start this week in Los Angeles.

 

Thursday 10th February 2005: Yours, Mine and Ours:
Rene Russo has signed on to co-star with Dennis Quaid in the remake of "Yours, Mine and Ours" for Paramount Pictures and MGM. Lucille Ball played the role in the original film. That film focused on two divorcees who joined forces, along with their eight and ten children, respectively. Ron Burch, David Kidd, Bob Hilgenberg, and Rob Muir are the screenwriters, and Raja Gosnell is the director. Paramount has set a November release date for the project with MGM handling foreign distribution.

Dennis Quaid will star in the remake of "Yours, Mine and Ours" for MGM and Paramount Pictures. Raja Gosnell (Scooby-Doo) is in talks to direct. Quaid will play Frank Beardsley, Henry Fonda's role in the original 1968 comedy, which co-starred Lucille Ball. MGM and Paramount are said to be remaking Yours, Mine & Ours, the 1968
comedy which starred Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda as two widowers who marry
and bring up their 18 kids under one roof.
