And God Created Woman DVD Review:

Rebecca De Mornay stars in a film loosely similar to controversial Italian film of the same name. In truth, the only thing that the two of them share
is the title, and a free spirited leading lady, who is promiscuous and flirts with disaster around every corner as the audience winces. De Mornay
does an admirable job bringing the audience into the story, but the script manages to turn them away every step of the way. It is a film that cannot be saved by performances, and as reassuring as it may be to see that nearly every film is being archived onto DVD, it is a mystery why this one would be chosen.

De Mornay plays Robin, a wrongly accused prison inmate, who will do anything to anyone in order to get out and jump start her music career. In
other words, it is about an innocent woman, who has lost faith in proving her innocence, and decides to sleep her way out of them instead. It is a far
cry from Roger Vadim’s ‘Woman’, who was promiscuous because of boredom.

There ends up being just too much going on, with another bad rock soundtrack that we have to sit through as well. It may have been slightly hip at the
time, especially due to the fact that De Mornay disrobes more than once, but it hardly seems worth sitting through now. There is much more recent, or
less dated, bad films to watch now.

The DVD has absolutely nothing to offer, except a slightly annoying title menu. There aren’t even the bare basics on this one otherwise, so it will
have nothing but the film to offer, which isn’t all that much.
