This is Asian Cinema at it's most extreme!

From Takashi Miike, director of AUDITION; the unforgettable cult hit of last year, Dead Or Alive is both a dark and original gangster film set amongst the violence of the Yakuza and Triad gangs of Japan.

Filmed with a swerve and wit, rarely seen in western cinema nowadays, Dead Or Alive, I guarantee, will amaze and shock you - it is quite simply the closest thing to live-action manga you'll see, with the first 15 minute segment being especially astonishing.

The plot may be hard to follow (hell, plot coherency goes out of the window a little over half way through!) and the ending may be a little TOO over-the-top but just see this stunning film for the mind-bending spectacle alone!
