Why oh why do certain movie companies place the name of the movie at the bottom of the screen throughout the trailers on video rentals?

Is this so that when you forward through the entire trailer, as so many of us do, you cannot avoid what the film is called?

Why? If you are fast forwarding past the trailer then you are not interested at all in what is on the trailer. If you did then you would not fast forward past it.

And this is also infuriating for the trailers that you do actually want to watch, all it serves is to remind you that the movie is just another in a long line of tat that the movie companies are trying to ram down your throat.

Why don't they stick adverts at the bottom of the screen during the trailers as well for all the good it does at the moment.
