Monday 2nd December 2002: Bad Boys 2 Update:
A scooper has managed to get a hold of the first trailer of the upcoming Will Smith and Martin Lawrence Bad Biys 2 Trailer and this is what they ahd to say over at comingsoon.net " Yesterday I was called into a focus group at a mall. There I screened the teaser trailer for BAD BOYS 2. Here is what it was:A lady is waking down a hall. All of a sudden 3 men come up to her with guns and she does some kung foo and beats them. The screen flashes and she turns into the columbia logo. Then the logo explodes and on the screen it says THEY'RE BACK AND THEY'RE BAD! You see a shot of Martin Lawrence and Will Smith on the highway with a worried look on their face. On a firey backround the words BAD BOYS 2, COMING NEXT SUMMER appear then a voice says presented in Digital Matrix picture and sound!"

Monday 2nd December 2002: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Update:
Rumours are circulating that Harry Potter 3 may be released simultaneously on Imax when it is released in the summer of 2004. No concrete word yet, but may be true with word that IMAX have already tried out the first Harry Potter movie on their screens.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Lord Of The Rings: Return of the King Update:
Rumours are circulating that the final part of the Lord of the Rings trilogy will be released on IMAX when it is released in December of 2004. Peter Jackson has been quoted of an IMAX showing as "This is the way I dreamt my movie would be shown." IMAX would have to put an intermission into the movie as IMAX can only carry two hours of film at one go.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Dirt Music Update:
Nicole Kidman is in talks with Director Phillip Noyce to star in Dirt Music. Noyce is directing the movie which is based on the novel by Tim Winton. Noyce had this to say "She loves the book; it's a perfect role for Nicole, and I'm developing it with that in mind. It's a love story about a woman at a crossroads in her life, in her mid-40s, on the western coast of Australia. She has to come to terms with the past before moving on to the future."

Monday 2nd December 2002: B-Major Update:
Writer Mark Leyner has been signed up by Universal to rewrite a script that was previously titled Piano Man. Also attached to the project is Ron Howard and B-Major will tell the tale of a discouraged young singer and his pal, an alcoholic pianist, who decide to break the record for marathon piano playing, but the ensuing ordeal winds up being more than the singer bargained for. The script was originally written by David Simon and Gene Weingarten.

Monday 2nd December 2002: The Invisible X Update:
Director Karyn Kusama has announced her next project will be The Invisible X. The Invisible X will tell the tale of a womanizing bachelor advertising executive who slowly undergoes an unexplained transformation. The exec attempts to come to grips with the new identity while living in a homeless shelter.The movie will start filming next year.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Six M.I.T. Students Update:
Kevin Spacey's production company Trigger Street Productions in partnership with MGM have bought the rights to the book by Ben Mezrich called "Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas for Millions" The book told the true story of the students who trained themselves in card counting and took Vegas for millions. It is thought that Spacey will take a supporting role in the movie as the M.I.T. teacher who supported them in their endeavor!

Monday 2nd December 2002: Once Upon A Prairie Update:
Disney have picked up the rights to the book by Susan Lowell "Cindy Ellen: A Wild Western Cinderella" they are planning to develop the book as a musical, with the screenplay being written by Ross Venokur with the title possible being Once Upon a Prairie.The movie will tell the tale of a ranching accident claims her father's life, Cinda's stepmother puts the family in financial jeopardy by selling off everything to pay for clothes and jewels for her and her own daughters.In order to pay off the debt and win the ranch back, Cinda decides to enter the rodeo disguised as a boy. Whilst in disguise, she meets the son of a rich family who asks her for rodeo lessons, and the pair end up falling in love.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Tintin Update:
Steven Speilberg has signed on to produce a live action movie based on George Remi's Tintin. Also producing will be Kathleen Kennedy. The movie is a coproduction between Universal and Dreamworks.

Monday 2nd December 2002: The Bob and Larry Movie Update:
Artisan are prepping another Veggie Tales movie, this one to be called The Bob and Larry Movie. The movie will follow Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber, for release in 2005.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Charlies Angels 2: Full Throttle Update:
John Cleese has been talking about his role in the upcoming Charlies Angels sequel and once again the script appears to be a shambles "I was asked to be in the film and they sent me the script and I said 'I don't see which part I'm playing' and they said 'Well we haven't rewritten it yet'. It was rewritten three days before I was due on the set. This is a £66 million movie and I get the scene an hour before I'm supposed to do it. The wardrobe people said they didn't know what they were filming the next day. Crazy".

Monday 2nd December 2002: The Last Samurai Update:
Casting news on The Last Samurai today with word that catsing directors are on the hunt for 400-500 400 - 500 Japanese men to join the army of extras needed for the film when New Zealand casting begins in Taranaki next month.They may have a problem getting this number of Japanese in New Zealand and may have to make the numbers up with other nationalities. The extras will be required from January for 10-12 weeks and their days will be rigourous with 12-14 hours work expected.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Charlotte's Web 2 Update:
Looks like there will definetely be a sequel to Charlottes Web with word that Amanda Byrnes is thought to be in line to voice Charlotte's daughter Nellie in an animated sequel to the original.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Home Improvement: The Movie Update:
Tim Allen has announced that he is keen on making a film version of his popular TV series Home Improvement and making it along the lines of the National Lampoon Vacation series.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Bears Update:
The release date for Bears has been moved to November 2003.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Home On The Range Update:
The release date for Home On The Range has been moved to an undecided date in 2004.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Pirates Of The Caribbean Update:
Pirates of the Caribbean has had it's release date set as July 9th 2003.

Monday 2nd December 2002: The Man Update:
Director Les Mayfield is thought to have been signed up to direct The Man that has been written by Eugne Levy that will tell the tale of two undercover cops who try to bust an illegal weapons ring.

Monday 2nd December 2002: The Punisher Update:
Looks like The Punisher movie isn't totally dead with word that casting has started up on the movie.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Iron Man Update:
Word is it that this project is officially dead with Joss Whedon pulling to concentrate on Firefly and the script by Tim McCanlies has been pulled also.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Spiderman 3 Update:
Casting rumours already for Spiderman 3 with tittle tattle circultating that Venom and Carnage will be the main villains, well Marvel comics are promoting that these villains will take centre stage. The casting rumours revolve around Vin Diesel and The Rock as Eddie Brock and Sam Rockwell/ Christian Bale as Cletus Kassady.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Custody Update:
Rock star Jewel is thought to have signed up to star in a movie for Donal Laogue as a "a rock-star who has a brief affair with a photographer that leads to a child, and then a lengthy custody battle".

Monday 2nd December 2002: Magic: The Gathering Update:
Filming is thought to be starting on Magic: The Gathering in just over a forthnight and is being prepped to be released in 2004.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Rule#3 Update:
Director Rob Bowman is in talks with Robert De Niro to sign him up as the lead role in a movie he is prepping called Rule#3, Rule#3 will complete most of it's filming in New York City.

Monday 2nd December 2002: The Last Samurai Update:
Sala Baker is rumoured to be involved with the currently filming Tom Cruise movie The Last Samurai. His involvement will depend on the the work he has to do to complete his role as Sauron in the LOTR : The Return of the King.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Turok: Dinosaur Hunter Update:
Rumours are circulating that Hayden Christensen and Adam Beach are both involved in a possible adaptation of the Turok computer game into a movie.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Van Helsing Update:
Casting news on Van Helsing with word that Josie Maran and Elena Anaya have been signed up to play two of the three brides that Dracula has in the movie.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Inglorious Bastards Update:
Casting news with word that Bo Svenson is rumoured to be getting cast in Tarantino's next movie after Kill Bill, Inglorious Bastards. The plan for the movie is to film it after Kill Bill, stop for promoting Kill Bill late next year and then complete Inglorious Bastards.

Monday 2nd December 2002: I Robot Update:
Will Smith is being mentioned in connection with taking the lead role in a movie to be called I Robot. I Robot is being developed by Director Alex Proyas. The movie is thought to be gearing up to start filming in the Spring of next year.

Monday 2nd December 2002: Analyze That Update:
new reaches us that the release date in the UK for Analyze That has been brought forward to the 28th February 2003.
