27th October 2002: Paul Directs 'Lonely Boy'
This isn't really film news, but major news for one of our
editors. For those of you that are regular visitors to The
Z Review, you'll have noticed Paul's absence from the site
over the past couple of weeks or so. Well, he's not been sitting
idle. Oh no, he's just directed his first music video.
'Lonely Boy' is about a guy who buys a novelty spray to try
and attract women. However, on his first night out wearing
the spray, things don't go quite according to plan. The video
is to a track by English band The
Last Taxi, whose music is best described as 'Funk, Rock',
although Lonely Boy has a distinct Latin flavour to it.

The video stars actor Martin Julier in the title role. Martin
has appeared in The Madness Of King George, Cider With Rosie
and various other British television productions. Most of
the video was filmed in a Cheltenham nightclub with the band
playing to around sixty extras.
The first preview of the video has hit the web over at JustPanic.com.
There you can download two clips and check out a whole host
of stills and production information. Also, be sure to take
a look at the band's official website at www.LastTaxi.co.uk.
Here's the video's promotional poster and direct links to
view the previewsin Windows Media format.
