20th December 2002: Golden Globes Nominations Announced
The Golden Globe nominations are in. Looking
at them, here are my predictions although I haven't seen all
of the movies nominated, so a lot this is gut feeling. You'll
probably disagree totally, but here goes. Best dramatic film
will go to The Two Towers, My Big Fat Greek Wedding will get
best musical or comedy, Scorsese will snatch best director
for Gangs Of New York, Michael Caine - best actor (dramatic),
Nicole Kidman - best actress (dramatic), I've a feeling about
Richard Gere getting best actor for a musical or comedy and
Renee Zellweger will get the best actress (musical or comedy)
globe. Those are the main ones, but right down the list I
think that Eminem will get best song for the excellent Lose
Yourself from 8 Mile. I could be wrong, I usually am. We'll
find out on Sunday 19th January when the gongs are dished
out. Here are the nominations in full.
