Desperado
Movie Review:
Mexico´s
answer to Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, delivers
here roaring action in a nice package, with rumbling rock
music in the background. There are close points of similarity
between them. Rodriguez has a bigger passion for action,
but otherwise are we recognize the jokes and jests from
Tarantino´s films.
Antonio
Banderas is the guitar playing avenger in "Desperado", who
after that his woman been murdered, is walking about with
a whole armoury in a guitar case and clear up among Mexico´s
lowlifes. He move like a panther, because every movement
he makes is perfectly choreographed. Among all shooting
is he meet the shapely librarian Salma Hayek, who he has
a famous love-affair with. With her innocent brown eyes
and her pouting mouth is she the delightful sight in "Desperado".
Rodriguez
rapid talking buddy Quentin is also here and shows his dramatic
talents. He crack a joke and has then his brain shot off.
He get passed with great credit. All lowlifes are too brutal
and unpleasant, and the action scenes are very unrealistic.
An example is when Antonio Banderas goes into a bar full
of scumbags. When it breaks out jumps Banderas up on the
bar counter and shoots wildly all round, while bullets whistling
by him. He perform tricks up there that makes him look like
a ballet-dancer. When the gunpowder smoke has settled down
are all scums dead. Banderas walks out from there without
a scratch. As you understand is this not a deep film, but
it´s the more entertaining. As an actionfilm are there few
which can match "Desperado".
