Piglet's
Big Movie Review:
After
not being involved in Poohs latest plan to get even
more honey because he is too small, Piglet starts to question
if his friends really need him. When he goes off to collect
his thoughts, Pooh, Rabbit, Tigger and Eeyore realise that
Piglet has gone and using his picture diary, they set off
on an adventure to find their missing friends, recounting
Piglets best stories along the way.
A. A. Milnes classic
characters return in another Disney sequel but the difference is that they have
put abit of effort into this one.
Much
like The Tigger Movie before it, Piglets Big Movie is a collection of adventures
and songs (by Carly Simon) that young children will enjoy and adult will reminisce
about. There is much to enjoy here for the younger audience, as the characters
are as lovable as ever. Everyone is here from Pooh to Roo, all the lovable bunch
still have the same look and voices that all of us have grown up with.
Pooh,
Rabbit, Eeyore and Tigger travel the Hundred Acre Wood looking for their friend
recounting all of Piglets best adventures, each one a story in itself. Here
we learn about when Kanger and Roo moved in, Eeyores House, the expedition
to the North Pole and much more. With an underlying story of fitting in when you
are different, in this case small, the movie has a lot to say about realising
what you and other have to offer, which is a good message for any age group.
Disney
has made more effort with this sequel than it has with many of its other continuations.
It feels less of a cash in as there is a story and a respect for the characters
which is more evident in this movie that any of there other animations.
Piglets
Big Movie is a film that youngsters will love and parents
will remember. Now where is that Honey?
